Algebra 2
Oak Meadow’s Algebra 2 course builds on foundational algebraic concepts, helping students develop the skills needed for success in Precalculus and beyond. Using Algebra 2 by Elayn Martin-Gay (Pearson, 2016) alongside MyMathLab, students engage with interactive tools and real-world applications that make advanced math both accessible and meaningful.
This course covers intermediate algebra topics while encouraging students to explore the connections between mathematics and everyday life. Students will engage in problem-solving, analyze mathematical ideas from historical and cultural perspectives, and apply concepts creatively. While the basic answer key is in the back of the textbook, the publisher offers an online resource called MyLab Math which contains helpful tools such as instructional videos, a detailed solution manual, and the digital textbook. You can check it out with Pearson’s free 14 day trial and then upgrade through the platform for $60 if you find it helpful!
