About Intermediate Recorder
Intermediate Recorder builds upon the foundation of recorder playing that was introduced in 1st grade, striving to develop the student’s proficiency with both hands. This volume introduces new notes, new exercises, and new songs to play with your student that use all the notes learned in 1st and 2nd grade. This book also includes (and expands) the basic music theory introduction for parents and home teachers.
The type of recorder we recommend is a soprano recorder with Baroque fingering. For more advice on getting started, read Tips for Playing the Recorder on our blog.
