Course Description

In this full-year English course, students read great literature from around the world while focusing on the art and effect of translation. While exploring the thoughts and feelings of human beings throughout history, students will examine how many ways a story can be told. They will develop their grammar and composition skills through varied writing projects, including poetry, a short story, and a play. 

Content warning: The classic texts in this course describe events that portray danger, sorrow, and trauma in an accurate, realistic way. Parents and teachers are encouraged to read the material ahead of time to provide any necessary support.
