The 2nd Grade Craft Kit without recorders contains craft items used alongside the Second Grade curriculum. This kit does not include recorders.

Artistic expression is a very important part of the Oak Meadow second-grade curriculum. The primary media used throughout the course are crayon drawing and watercolor painting as it was in kindergarten and first grade. In second grade colored pencils are also introduced to allow for more practical use of color and detail. The study of color is an important focus of second grade and is deepened through an extended art project creating a calendar.

  • 1 box of beeswax modeling wax (12 pc)
  • 1 drawing pad 9” x 12”
  • 1 box of beeswax stick crayons
  • 3 tubes of watercolor paint - red blue and yellow (Hues may vary)
  • 2 watercolor brushes 3/4” wide
  • 6 blank Main Lesson Books
  • 2 skeins of crochet yarn - red and blue
  • Harrisville Designs Deluxe Potholder Kit (not yet pictured) - included a high quality metal loom and enough loops for 6 potholders
  • 1 pack of crochet hooks
